Women in World Jazz, November 19, 2017

Women in World Jazz brings together women of different nationalities with extensive experience in performance and education. The music is easy to relate to, diverse, and danceable. All members of the group are accomplished musicians playing a variety of musical styles ranging from jazz to world/ethnic. The music and dance featured are from Cuba, Brazil, Cape Verde, Japan, and the Middle East. The program is an educational, family-friendly presentation that allows audience participation for all ages.

Book Sale, October 14-15, 2017

On Saturday, October 14 and Sunday, October 15, 2017, we will hold our 45th annual fall book sale. Thousands of books will be for sale in the Library's Community Room. On Saturday, hard-cover books and trade paperbacks are priced at $1.00 and mass-market paperbacks are 50 cents each. Sunday is Bargain Day; all items are half-price and a brown bag of books is $8.00. In addition, individually-priced books in the Friends' Book Shop will be half-price on both Saturday and Sunday.


Human Trafficking, September 28, 2017

The Friends of the Needham Public Library, in conjunction with Needham People Against Trafficking Humans (PATH), will host author Jasmine Grace in the Library's Community Room to speak about her autobiography. The Diary of Jasmine Grace was released in January 2017 in honor of Human Trafficking Awareness Month.
